      Truly, Glen Paul Briones, a BSBA Major in Human Resource Development Manage-ment, fourth year student, is a remarkable individual worthy of emulation.

      Last January 25, 2015, Briones was chosen as one of the recipients of the Young Achiever’s Award given by the City Government of Vigan. Briones is the first UNPian (student) to receive such award. This was awarded to him for his exemplary achievement as the 3rd Outstanding Scholar of the 2014th Rizal Youth Leadership Training Insti-tute held last May 5-19, 2014 at Benguet State University Training Camp, Bektey, Longlong Benguet, thus bringing pride and honor to the City of Vigan. The said training camp was spon-sored by the Young Men’s Christian Association of the Philippines in cooperation with the Rizal Youth Leadership Training Institute. According to Briones, there were 19 students in attendance to the training camp, and he was lucky that his efforts were recognized. He added further that, UNP had played a big role in the enhancement of his management and leader-ship skills. He is thankful to the City Government of Vigan as well for giving him such recognition, and promises to always give importance to his Ilocano heritage and culture, and to continue promoting Vigan as one of the New Seven Wonder Cities of the World.

      Briones is the presi-dent of the UNP Student Council, which was awarded as the Most Outstanding Student Organization in Ilocos Sur during the Vigan City Kannawidan Festival
