Medicine Week is a national celebration as mandated by law (Presidential Proclamation No. 439 of 1957).
This is an annual event designated to be celebrated every 4 th week of September with the purpose of developing consciousness among our people of the value of scientific medical practices. Its observance is under the authority of the Philippine Medical Association.
The College of Medicine patterns its week-long activities according to the theme set by the PMA each year. Active partnership between the College and the Ilocos Sur Medical Society ensures the dynamic participation of the faculty and the medical students in sponsoring numerous activities.
SIGNIFICANCE IN THE CULTURE OF THE COLLEGE:
The culmination of the Medicine Week is the Dr. Antonio R. Lahoz Memorial Scientific Forum, where speakers from different specialty fields in medicine honor the legacy of Dr. Antonio R. Lahoz as founder of the UNP-College of Medicine by delivering medical updates and breakthroughs.

The College of Medicine has an active student organization, the Future Physicians’ Circle (FPC). The organization helps the faculty and staff in assisting the Medical Students especially during enrollment, extension programs of the College.
