-From the Dean

In the realm of patient assessment, the doctor begins integrating the essential components of clinical care emphatic listening; the skill to interview patients of all ages, moods, and backgrounds; the techniques for examining the different systems of the body; and, finally, the process of clinical reasoning. There are too many variables, uncontrollable human variables. How does he learn to cope with all these? It all starts in the four corners of Med school, running through long hallways of hospitals under the supervision of dedicated mentors… doctors who take into priority needs of their students, doctors who try to assess their own teaching while remaining open to suggestions of other pedagogical scholars, doctors who continue to try to develop as teachers.

-From the Assistant Dean, Medicine Program

We pledge our lives to aid the sick, to help and serve all those in need, to build a better nation that is healthy and great…
