The Training Workshop of Faculty on Flexible Learning (Research-Based) is an almost month-long activity and first of its kind with the primary objective to equip the faculty with adequate knowledge and relevant competencies on varies delivery modes of flexible learning. This series of virtual training workshops is for free or with no registration fee.

During the first day, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Rolando B. Navarro welcomed the participants; Rationale and Statement of Purpose were explained by the University Research Director, Dr. Edelyn Cadorna; and the University President, Dr. Erwin Cadorna gave his message to the UNP Community, reminding everyone to give their utmost cooperation to the University because this workshop series is for the betterment of teaching-learning delivery modes.
The first speaker, Dr. Sterling Plata, a faculty at De La Salle University, talked about “Growth Mindset and Wellness in ODL.” She made mention about the importance of healthy mindset during these pandemic times. She also demonstrated some relaxing techniques while undertaking online classes.
The second speaker, Dr. Jasper Vincent Alontaga, the Director for Academic Support for Instructional Services and Technology (ASIST) at De La Salle University-Manila, discussed “Flexible Online Teaching & Overview (Focused on ODL).” He reminded everyone to always think about the current situations of students and to make education available for everyone by making use of flexible learning methods.

Dr. Jasper Vincent Alontaga facilitated the processing and sharing of exemplar syllabus outputs. He made some suggestions regarding the outputs sent to his email by the faculty members of UNP.
