The University of Northern Philippines College of Arts and Sciences, College of   Engineering and College of Nursing are preparing for the      accreditation of the      programs on July 17 to 20, 2012.

The College of Arts and Sciences will have five of its programs accredited for Level III. These         programs are the Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Bachelor of Arts in Political         Science, Bachelor of      Science in Mathematics, Bachelor of Science in Physics, and Bachelor of Science in Biology.

The College of Nursing will have the Bachelor of Science in Nursing accredited to Level III.

The College of Engineering will have    two of their programs    accredited to Level II, the Bachelor   of Science in Civil Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Geodetic Engineering.

The accreditations of the different programs   in the three academic   units will be carried out by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the         Philippines (AACCUP), Inc. headed by its coordinator, Dr. Thelma T. Lanuza of Isabela State University.

The accreditors assigned to evaluate Bachelor of Arts in Communication program are Dr. Edna C. Aquino, RTU Team Leader, Dr. Nenita T. Magno, ISU, Dr. Aurea Marie M. Sandoval, BengSU, Dr. Stephen P. Soliguen,  URS,  Dr. Mila E. Isles, LSPU, Dr. Noralyn M. Natura (Lib), NVSU, Dr. Boyet P. Batang, ISU, Dr. Oliver  M. Baciles, BPSU,        Dr. Jacinto L. Cabalonga, NVSU, and   Dr. Myrna C. Cureg, ISU.

The Bachelor of Science in Political         Science will be assessed by Dr. Estefania W. Kollin, CLSU, Team Leader, Dr. Loreta Vivian R. Gamila, NVSU, Dr. Aurea Marie M. Sandoval, Dr. Stephen P. Soliguen, Dr. Mila E. Isles, Dr. Noralyn M. Natura, Dr. Boyet L. Batang, Dr. Oliver M. Baciles, Dr. Jacinto L. Cabalonga, and Dr. Myrna C. Cureg.

The accreditors assigned to evaluate Bachelor of Science        in Mathematics are        Dr. Danilo C. Galicia, BPSU, Team Leader,     Dr. Edgardo M. Santos, BulSU, Dr. Aurea Marie M. Sandoval, Dr. Oliver M. Baciles, Dr. Mila E. Isles, Dr. Stephen P. Soliguen, Dr. Boyet L. Batang, Dr. Jacinto L.  Cabalonga, Dr. Myrna C. Cureg, ISU, and Dr. Noralyn M. Natura.

The Bachelor of Science in Physics will be assessed by Dr. Rosalie R. Rafael, CLSU, Team Leader, Dr. Evelyn D.    Taban, NVSU, Dr. Aurea Marie M. Sandoval,       Dr. Mila E. Isles,            Dr. Stephen P. Soliguen, Dr. Boyet L. Batang, ISU, Dr. Oliver M. Baciles,     Dr.  Jacinto L. Cabalonga, Dr. Myrna C. Cureg,     and Dr. Noralyn M. Natura.

The accreditors assigned to evaluate Bachelor of Science in  Biology are Dr. Reneecilia B. Paz de Leon, URS, Team Leader, Dr. Edna C. Chua, BengSU,        Dr. Aurea Marie M. Sandoval, Dr. Mila E. Isles, LSPU, Dr. Stephen P. Soliguen, Dr. Boyet L. Batang, Dr. Oliver M. Baciles, Dr. Jacinto L.   Cabalonga, Dr. Myrna C. Cureg and Dr. Noralyn M. Natura.

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing will be assessed by Dr. Florence C. Cawaon, BCU, Team Leader, Dr. Heidi Dyangko, BU, Dr. Aurea Marie M. Sandoval, Dr. Mila E. Isles, Dr. Stephen P. Soliguen, Dr. Boyet L. Batang,         Dr. Oliver M Baciles,        Dr. Jacinto L. Cabalonga, Dr. Myrna C. Cureg and   Dr. Noralyn M. Natura.

The College of    Engineering Civil Engi-neering Program will        be assessed by            Engr. Nestor C.            Competente, RTU, Team Leader, Engr. Bernardino P. Nalipay, TSU,              Dr. Leoncio M. Matibag, SLSU, Dr. Jeremias F. Buraga, RTU and Dr. Noralyn M. Natura.

The  Bachelor of Science in Geodetic Engineering Program of the   College of Engineering     will be evaluated by       Engr. Rosemarie S. Macmac, TCA, Team Leader, Engr. Arlyn N. Angco, TSU, Dr. Leoncio M. Matibag, Dr. Jeremias F. Buraga and Dr. Noralyn M. Natura.

There will be ten areas to be assessed in the eight degree programs submitted for evaluation. The ten areas are: (1) Vision, Mission, Goals and Objectives; (2) Faculty; (3) Curriculum and Instruction;    (4) Support to Students;            (5) Research; (6) Extension and Community Involvement; (7) Library; (8) Physical Plant and Facilities;     (9) Laboratories; and (10) Administration.

To facilitate the preparation of documents and materials for accreditation, a task force is formed. The UNP Accreditation Task Force     includes: Dr. Lumen H. Almachar, Dr. Remigio Obrero, Arch.
