March 25, 2026—The College of Fine Arts and Design (CFAD) celebrated the opening of its newly renovated Library and Faculty Lounge, titled “Talikhain: Living Incubators of Ideas.” Conceptualized and executed by Bachelor of Science in Interior Design (BSID) Batch 2026 students, the project showcases their vision in transforming spaces into functional, inspiring environments.
More than a physical upgrade, “Talikhain” reimagines these areas as dynamic hubs where imagination, research, and experimentation converge—nurturing ideas, innovation, and artistic growth.
During the opening, CFAD Dean Ashley Paulino Martinez highlighted the spaces’ role in advancing the college’s mission. The library now serves as a discovery center for ideas that evolve into meaningful artistic and research outputs. The Faculty Lounge, meanwhile, offers rest, connection, and collaboration, fostering dialogue and community among educators.
“May these spaces nurture academic excellence, belonging, and shared purpose,” the Dean shared.
The Dean thanked the BSID Exhibition class, led by IDr. Kae Dee Ann Ramos, for their dedication, as well as FAA President Nestor Pajaro for being present at the event. This student-led legacy symbolizes CFAD’s commitment to creativity and transformative design.
