CCIT’s 16th ‘byte and beats’ celebration rocks campus
The College of Communication and Information Technology (CCIT) marked its 16th anniversary with a vibrant celebration themed โByte and Beats: Celebrating the Rhythm of CCIT Advancementโ from March 19 to 21, 2024.
Kicking off the week-long event was an anime-themed clan parade that spanned around the campus. In attendance at the UNP oval are the College’s instructors, professors, and staff to inaugurate the series of competitions and games.
Ms. Maribel Tacla, Assistant Dean of the College of Communication and Information Technology, stressed during the opening program that the event is not only a chance to commemorate past accomplishments but also a vision for the future they will build.
The six clansโUchiha, Uzumaki, Sarutobi, Hyuuga, Senju, and Akatsuki, each named after popular anime characters, unleashed their passionate chants, creating a thrilling atmosphere for the week-long celebrations held at the College of Communication and Information Technology.
Teams engaged in spirited competition during the lively ‘laro ng lahi’. With a variety of exciting events planned like amazing race, ML tournament, amazing race, bingo and academic games, the lively atmosphere of the 16th CCIT Week is expected to elevate.
On the final day of festivities, the much awaited first Anime Cosplay Competition took place at UNP’s Founder’s Plaza. Enthusiastic participants brought famous anime characters to life with elaborate costumes. SPM Art Constantine U. Oandasan, MD, Ms. Haziel Joy Alviar, and Mr. Paul Nikko T. Quilana served as judges for the event, which culminated in a celebration of anime culture.
