CCJE holds PTA assembly

 

The College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) conducted General Assembly for the Academic Year 2024-2026 that took place in CBAA Function Hall on November 13, 2024.

It was started by Dr. Marlow T. Pacapac, PTA President, who delivered the welcome remarks. Thereafter, Prof. Myline C. Aleson, assistant dean, introduced the faculty members, including their section advisories and designations. She also presented the University’s vision, mission, quality policy, and the college goals. Subsequently, the introduction of the current PTA officers was made by Mrs. Shaymie Rose Ubilas (secretary of CCJE-PTA).

Following this, Dr. George Phillippe Amano (CSO adviser) also introduced the officers of the Criminology Students’ Organization. After which, Ms. Charmaine Angela Ancho (publication adviser and college information coordinator) also presented the editorial board and staff of The Defender publication.

Dr. Sina C. Bestre, dean, acknowledged her colleagues and shared essential updates, including potential makeup classes, the importance of PTA, and key information for parents. PTA President, Dr. Marlow T. Pacapac highlighted the organization’s accomplishments, such as the purchase of books and a printer and providing sports allowances and support for events.

Afterwards, Mrs. Jacquelyn F. Castillo (PTA treasurer) presented the financial statement of CCJE-PTA. Auditor May Fe C. Quiocho also offered a message of gratitude and extended her best wishes to the Criminology graduates who will be taking their board exams.

The assembly continued with the election of new set of PTA officers for the AY 2024-2026. This activity aligns with the goal of the University in providing a responsive, relevant, and sustainable services as well as in ensuring good governance while advocating fair play to the community.

Further, this activity also highlights Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 16 in ensuring responsive, inclusive, participatory and representative decision-making at all levels.
