A total of 265 graduates of the UNP College of Teacher Education have now attained their highly coveted license after the release of the September 2023 Licensure Examination for Teachers results. This was after the Professional Regulation Commission announced the roster of passers on December 7, 2023.
On top of this feat are the two graduates of the Bachelor of Elementary Education program who landed places in the Top 10. Ms. Rosabelle Melchor Ponce (93%) and Ms. Ma. Lara Erika Quedado Alconcel (92.8%) are in eighth and ninth places, respectively.

In the elementary category, 58 out of 62 (93.55%) first-time takers and three out of three (50%) retakers passed the exam. UNP’s overall passing rate is 89.71% (61/68).
Meanwhile, in the secondary category, UNP’s passing rate for first-time takers is 89.23% (174 out of 195), as well as 44.78% (30 out of 67) for retakers. Overall, UNP’s passing rate is 77.86% (204 out of 262).
Notably, UNP’s passing rates for the first-time takers, as well as the overall passing rate, are way higher than those of the national (47.01% for elementary and 56.26% for secondary).
The UNP community, headed by Dr. Erwin F. Cadorna, immensely takes pride in the passers, their families, and the UNP College of Teacher Education headed by Dr. Ma. Teresa Susan L. Manzano.
