MSO, SC, PASO conduct operation taob and clean-up drive for disease prevention on campus

The University of Northern Philippines-Medical Services Office, along with the Student Council and the Production and Auxiliary Services Office, came together for an event called “Operation Taob and Clean-up Drive” on August 10, 2024. The main goal of this initiative was to improve disease prevention efforts and promote a campus environment, especially considering the health risks that come with the rainy season like the threat of dengue fever.

During the drive, the focus was on getting rid of places where mosquitoes could breed and reducing waste that could worsen health issues when its wet outside.

Participants took part in activities such as picking up trash from campus grounds, cleaning out drainage systems, and educating students about why it is important to keep the environment clean to prevent diseases from spreading.

This event demonstrates a growing awareness of health and taking care of the environment in educational settings. By encouraging community involvement and responsibility among students and staff the University of Northern Philippines is working towards making their campus a safer and healthier place for everyone. These kinds of efforts not only help prevent diseases but also make students feel proud and responsible for their campus surroundings.
