UNP, Burgos sign MOA for provision of support

To continuously realize the duty to provide support to its stakeholders, the University of Northern Philippines entered into a memorandum of agreement with the local government of Burgos, Ilocos Sur on September 11, 2024, another municipality which will be a recipient of responsive, relevant and sustainable services from the University.

Dr. Erwin Cadorna, UNP President, led the team to Burgos for the MOA signing. Dr. Cadorna met Hon. Nathaniel Escobar and both agreed for a collaboration of various services which will be delivered by the University to the municipality. The University, through its extension services programs, will help the municipality in honing knowledge, skills, and attitudes of its residents through the conduct of programs, projects and activities in order to make them active partners in development.

As an initial activity, faculty members of the College of Business Administration and Accountancy conducted a lecture to the members of Puso ti Kababaihan ti Burgos. Dr. Princess Neptalia Quebral delivered a lecture on Leadership and Personal Development, and Ms. Katherine Rabbon on Personal Financial Wellness.

Also present during the lecture and MOA signing were University Extension Office Coordinators Prof. Jastin Soria, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management; Prof. May Evelia Ruadap, Livelihood and Training Services; Prof. Claudette Rabago, Food Processing Services; and Dr. Eileen Rose Paculan, CBAA Extension Coordinator.

Witnesses of the memorandum of agreement were Dr. Fatima Rocamora, Vice President for Research and Extension, and Dr. Lloyd Mata, OIC Director, University Extension Office.
