UNP receives Blood Service Platinum Award
The University of Northern Philippines (UNP), has been recognized for its exceptional support and dedication to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC). A Blood Service Platinum Award, a prestigious national recognition bestowed upon organizations that have demonstrated unwavering commitment to mass blood donation, was handed to UNP. This award is given to sponsors that have contributed a minimum cumulative total of 500 blood units over five consecutive years. The awarding was held on December 27, 2024 at the the Farmer’s Livelihood and Development Center, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur..
Dr. Erwin Cadorna, UNP President, represented by Dr. Carlo Ventura, National Service Training Program Director, delivered an inspiring testimonial speech during the event, highlighting the importance of collaboration in saving lives through blood donation.
Also, the University received a certificate and a Testimonial Plaque, acknowledging UNP’s significant role in promoting blood donation initiatives. A Testimonial Plaque is awarded to partners that have provided outstanding support and cooperation to the PRC for a minimum of ten years, with a cumulative donation of at least 1,000 blood units. This recognition emphasizes the University’s commitment to community service and its hope for a stronger partnership with the PRC in future endeavors. The PRC-Ilocos Chapter was grateful to UNP’s invaluable contributions to this noble cause.
