Teamwork, communication, and workplace collaboration took focus as the University of Northern Philippines, through its Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), facilitated a team-building activity for the non-teaching personnel of the Department of Education (DepEd) Vigan City Division on September 18, 2026, at Wowo Beach Resort in Sinait, Ilocos Sur.
The activity brought together DepEd Vigan non-teaching personnel in a series of interactive and collaborative activities focused on communication, cooperation, unity, shared responsibility, and workplace relationships.
The OSAS team was composed of Ms. Monique Tubera, Assistant Head of Services for Students with Special Needs and Persons with Disability, who served as the learning resource provider; Mrs. Precious Emerald Castillo, Assistant Head of Guidance and Counseling Services; Mr. Froilan Unciano, Assistant Head of Social Community Involvement and Multifaith Services; Dr. Rodel Rosario; Mrs. Rowena Mamuad; Ms. Pauline Yanssen Martinez; Mrs. Glenny Angellica Barrientos; and Ms. Krystal Gale Senica.
During the activity, Dr. Annie Pagdilaw, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent of Vigan City, discussed the role of non-teaching personnel in achieving institutional goals and the importance of strong working relationships in supporting productivity and organizational effectiveness.
The engagement also provided an avenue for UNP and DepEd Vigan to share knowledge, skills, and resources as part of their institutional partnership. The activity formed part of the 2nd DepEd-NEU Vigan City Chapter Division Congress, which provided the participating personnel an opportunity to build camaraderie and strengthen teamwork in relation to their shared responsibilities within the institution.
