BS Biology students clinch 2nd and 3rd Places in the Research Poster Competition at the 26th PSM-Northern Luzon Convention

The UNP BS Biology students proudly secured 2nd and 3rd places in the Research Poster Competition during the 26th Scientific and Regional Convention Meeting of the Philippine Society for Microbiology – Northern Luzon Chapter (PSM-NL), held on March 27–28, 2026, at Pampanga State Agricultural University in Magalang, Pampanga.

Congratulations to Alyssa Marie I. Mariñas, Azhaky V. Pimentel, Najah Michaella B. Abella, Arnee A. Faraon, Vhon Daniel R. Reburon with their thesis Adviser, Ms. Diana Mae Simbe for bagging 2nd Place, Charles Darwin G. Pascua, Armyda Blanca O. Menor, Sandara E. Peñaloza, Sabrina E. Lopez, Jerome M. Montero with their thesis Adviser Dr. Charo B. Rojas bagging 3rd Place for this remarkable achievement, showcasing their dedication, scientific rigor, and passion for research in the field of microbiology. Competing alongside delegates from various institutions across Northern Luzon, their work stood out for its quality, relevance, and contribution to advancing scientific knowledge.

This accomplishment reflects the strong research culture and academic excellence fostered within the Biology program, as well as the commitment of students to pursue innovation and evidence-based inquiry. Their success not only brings pride to the University of Northern Philippines but also inspires fellow student-researchers to strive for excellence in the scientific community.
