Abstract:The study aimed to design, develop, and evaluate a tourism information system called Viajefy, incorporating the TF-IDF algorithm and assessing its model performance. It employed Feature-Driven Development as the software development method. It utilized the Cross-Industry Standardized Process for Data Mining for the data mining process of the TF-IDF algorithm, serving as its recommender agent feature. The confusion matrix evaluation tool was used to assess the algorithm's performance, yielding an accuracy of 97%, a precision of 93%, and a recall of 90%. Results showed that the recommender agent of the software application was proven reliable based on the algorithm's performance criteria in terms of accuracy, precision, and recall, and the system received a Very Highly Acceptable rating of 4.74. This software application is one of the first studies along tourism information systems for Ilocos Sur, Philippines, to integrate a recommender agent to help the Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur advertise attractions and establishments to be managed by the said government, where one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Vigan City, is situated.

Abstract:Ibirok in Ilocano means to search, and as for the eBirok, the name of the developed application means electronic search. This research aimed to design and develop an online repository of all theses and dissertations of both graduate and undergraduate students. The developed system provides an easier way to access the electronic copy of the manuscript of theses and dissertations using a more advanced and accurate search and providing an author-generated metadata and system-generated metadata. The system also provides an efficient and reliable process of recording and filing of records and updating research information, generating needed reports, and providing a downloadable copy of the manuscript. The automation of accessing manual process of searching and adding theses and dissertations will surely enhance the processes. It will minimize the burden of work of the students who are conducting researches, theses, and dissertations.

Abstract:Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the Philippines consider student development services as a significant support system for students' academic experience as well as for institutional development. The complementation of co-curricular activities to academics may lead to students' holistic development. As these continue, many documents are also being produced in the conduct of those activities. Thus, the decision-making process as well as the management of those documents are difficult tasks for Higher Education Institutions in support of students' welfare and development. Decision-making is a critical phase to analyze document submission of student organizations' developmental activities. This research focused mainly on the design, development, and evaluation of a mechanism for document management with descriptive analytics through data visualization techniques that would help in the decision-making of HEI's administration.
The researchers designed the system with an analytical model transformed into codes and MySql as backend framework for student organizations' Key Performance Indicators to analyze in real-time the student organizations' document submission. A Rapid Application Development served as the basis for the design, development, and evaluation of the system.
The system addresses data and document management, repository, announcements, communication, dissemination to students, decision-support with the integration of dashboards as part of a descriptive analytics approach. Dashboards provide ease of viewing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to the system's end-users. The system's evaluation obtained an overall weighted mean of 4.43 with a Very Great Extent description. This evaluation shows that the system is ready for deployment and implementation.
The automation of operations and analysis of documents will ease users' operations, optimize resources, and aid a timely decision-making process.
