CBAA hosts internship orientation to bridge academic learning and industry readiness

The College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) of the University of Northern Philippines (UNP) held an Internship Pre-Deployment Orientation for fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Human Resource Development Management (BSBA-HRDM) students on January 7, 2025, at the UNP Auditorium.

The orientation aimed at bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical workplace demands, equipping 196 senior students with the tools and insights necessary for navigating real-world professional environments. Topics covered included ethical leadership, workplace adaptability, mental wellness, and the importance of aligning personal goals with organizational objectives.

Seven faculty members participated in the event, providing guidance and sharing insights on how students can excel during their internships. The program also emphasized the role of experiential learning in fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills, preparing students to contribute meaningfully to their future workplaces.

In alignment with UNP’s commitment to academic excellence and holistic development, the initiative also reinforced the university’s support for the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those focused on decent work, economic growth, and sustainable community services.

Through this orientation, the CBAA continues to uphold its mission of producing competent, ethical, and industry-ready graduates. The event serves as a testament to UNP’s dedication to preparing students for professional success while fostering a culture of continuous learning and adaptability.
