Guidance Office organizes seminar on overcoming test anxiety
The Guidance and Counselling Service and Information and Orientation Services spearheaded a seminar for fourth year students entitled “Take it Easy, Free Yourself from Test Anxiety” held at the gymnasium on May 15.
The resource speaker, Mr. Mico Molina, the BS Psychology program head, shared how students can manage their anxiety, especially during examination period.
“You should know how to prioritize things and handle the pressure in your academics. Test anxiety is normal, but your score does not define you,” he added.
In addition, Dr. Rolando Navarro (Vice President for Academic Affairs) and Dr. Eleanor Belizar (Special Assistant to the President) encouraged the students pursue their dreams, plan how to achieve them, and set their priorities.
“It is okay to be nervous but don’t let anxiety drag you down. Believe in yourself and believe in your ability,” Dr. Navarro added.
Dr. Marifel Acena expressed her gratitude to the resource speaker.
The seminar supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and (Quality Education).
