Driving intellectual growth and advancing academic excellence, the Advancing Knowledge Book Fair 2026 opened today, October 12, in front of the Registrar’s Office and will run until October 15, bringing together valuable learning resources under the theme “Cultivating Minds, Inspiring Excellence in Higher Education.”
Organized by the University Library Services in collaboration with the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the four-day initiative promotes a culture of reading, lifelong learning, and wider access to educational materials that support teaching, research, and academic development.
The book fair features a wide array of books, academic references, instructional materials, and other educational resources from participating publishing companies and bookstores. It offers students, faculty members, researchers, and other members of the academic community an opportunity to discover relevant and valuable publications that broaden their knowledge, enhance their research capabilities, and support their academic and professional development. By providing access to diverse learning materials, the initiative encourages continuous learning and reinforces the importance of reading and research in achieving academic excellence.
Participating exhibitors include Litera Publishing Company, EESM, Books at Iba Pa, Central Books, C&E, SERV, Belview, Linar, Rex Book Store, and Philippine Christian Book Store. Their participation broadens the academic community’s access to a diverse selection of books, references, and educational materials that cater to varied learning, teaching, and research needs.
Beyond providing an avenue for acquiring books and other learning resources, the Advancing Knowledge Book Fair 2026 promotes intellectual discovery, knowledge sharing, and academic enrichment. It highlights the vital role of reading and continuous learning in developing critical thinking, stimulating creativity, and equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate an increasingly knowledge-driven society.
Through this initiative, the University reinforces its commitment to nurture informed, critical, and lifelong learners while advancing excellence in higher education. By bringing together publishers, educators, students, and readers, the book fair celebrates the transformative power of knowledge and the enduring value of books in shaping future generations.
