Abstract:The main goal of this research is to describe the teaching experiences, problems, and concerns of fifty-seven multigrade teachers of schools in Ilocos Sur. It analyzed the positive and negative impacts of multigrade teaching, which was the basis for an extension program. The study made use of the descriptive survey method of research. The results showed that majority of the respondents are handling Grades 1 & 2 classes; 21-25 years of age, married, females, bachelor's degree holder; with 6-10 years of experience, belong to Salary Grade Scale of 11, and have attended training in the district, division, regional, and national level. The respondents believed that the level of assessment of the multigrade classes is very satisfactory; there is no significant relationship between the profile of the respondents and the level of assessment on multigrade classes; there are no significant differences on the three sets of respondents. Also, participants responded that there is too much work for teachers in multi-grade classrooms. Nevertheless, they enjoyed and are used to teaching multigrade classes. Given such findings, the Turo Mo, Gawa Ko, Kagalingan ng Mag-aaral Ko: (Your Teaching, My Output, Improvement of my Learners)A CTE Extension Program is proposed to provide supplementary aid to multigrade teachers.
Abstract:Teacher education has remained a subject of intense discussion for decades. It is indispensable to look into the intricacies of becoming a professional teacher. Continual evaluation of teacher education programs is a must. The study determined the profiles of respondents of the College of Teacher Education pre-service teachers, the pre-service teachers' performance, content knowledge and pedagogy, the learning environment, the diversity of learners, curriculum and planning, and assessment and reporting. This study used a descriptive research design. The findings revealed most of the respondents are BSEd students specializing in Physical Education, Science, English, Filipino, Mathematics, and Social Science. An excellent performance of the Pre-service teachers was observed. There is a significant relationship between the performance of the pre-service teachers along the Philippine Professional Standards for Beginning Teachers in the curriculum and planning and the profile of Preservice teachers in three programs. A significant difference among the programs of the College of Teacher Education was also noted in the findings.

Abstract:The significant role of teachers in eliminating gender stereotype cannot be overlooked. Therefore, it is deemed important to extend the current and limited body of knowledge concerning teachers‟ perceptions and practices relevant to gender stereotypes. Guided by Theory of Planned Behavior, this study aimed to investigate the perceptions and practices of public, private and HEIs teachers regarding gender stereotypes in the classroom through the explanatory sequential mixed-methods design. Data revealed that the teacher respondents are undecided whether gender stereotypes in the classroom are evident or not. Their practices do not support gender stereotyping. The perception variables do not have a significant bearing on the practices of Public, Private, and HEIs Teachers Regarding Gender Stereotypes in the Classroom. Furthermore, teachers‟ perceived gender roles in the classroom resulted in three significant themes, particularly the inclusive materials; gender-inclusive language; gender-based pedagogy.

Abstract:Life is a never-ending struggle especially in different workplaces. However, dealing with it comes with how people look at life itself. This study looked into the stress proneness of the teachers of the first district of Ilocos Sur in 2019-2020. The descriptivecorrelation method of research was used. Randomized sampling of 50 teachers from the public, private and SUC schools were respondents. Frequency and percentage distribution, mean, Pearson Product Moment of Correlation and One Way Analysis of Variance were used to analyze the data collected. Results revealed that a great majority of the respondents are female, bachelor’s degree holder, 20-30 years old, single, Roman Catholic, with Teacher 1-3 position, Grade 6 teachers, 1-5 years in teaching and had attended seminars/trainings. Their level of stress proneness, including its clusters, is low. There is no effect between the personal profile of the respondents and the different clusters of stress proneness. There is no significant difference between and among the group of respondents and the clusters of stress proneness. It is therefore recommended that teachers should be strengthen in terms of professional development as well as health and wellness programs to cope up with the demands of work and people in the 21st century.
