To continuously promote quality education, professional development, and meaningful institutional collaboration, the University of Northern Philippines, through the College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) and the University Extension Office (UEO), renewed its partnership with Sinait National High School through a memorandum of agreement (MOA) signing on September 17, 2026.
The partnership aims to strengthen collaboration in education, skills development, extension services, and professional development. It specifically seeks to enhance the teaching competencies and practical approaches of teachers handling the Accountancy, Business, and Management strand.
Leading the activity were Dr. Eileen Paculan, CBAA Extension Unit Coordinator and UEO Coordinator for Extension Publication, and Prof. May Evelia Ruadap, UEO Coordinator for Livelihood and Training Services. Their leadership helped ensure the smooth implementation of the activity and reinforced the University’s commitment to advance meaningful extension initiatives that respond to community needs.
Following the MOA signing, the activity proceeded with a capacity-building training designed to enhance participants’ knowledge and understanding of essential business principles and professional practices. Atty. Jayson Rapisura led the first session, “Understanding Basic Accounting in Real-Life Business Transactions,” where he discussed fundamental accounting concepts and their practical application in day-to-day business operations and transactions.
The training continued with Atty. Anna Karizza Rialubin, who tackled “Ethics, Accountability, and Professional Responsibility in Business.” Her session highlighted the importance of ethical conduct, accountability, and professional responsibility in promoting integrity and sound decision-making in the business sector.
Ms. Kathleen Arconado and Mr. Mac Kerwin Lim served as facilitators and documenters, providing logistical and documentation support throughout the activity and helping ensure its orderly and effective implementation.
The collaboration supports SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by promoting quality instruction, professional development, and sustained institutional collaboration.
The activity was coordinated by the CBAA Extension Unit and UEO, with the participation of ABM teachers from SNHS. The renewed partnership shows UNP and SNHS’s shared commitment to improve education and prepare students for future academic, entrepreneurial, and workplace opportunities.
