About Us

Proudly sited in Heritage City of Vigan, the UNP College of Architecture is an architectural institution committed to provide Architectural education responsive to evolving local and global demands for architects and design professionals. It does so by providing students with comprehensive knowledge, skills, and values in Architecture, with emphasis on the conservation and promotion of Filipino architectural heritage within a global context. Further, it develops students’ competence and proficiency in Architectural practice as provided for in Republic Act No. 9266 and its implementing rules and regulations. It targets students’ total growth and development within the framework of democratic ideals and values.

World Architecture Day

World Architecture Day is an international day celebrated annually on the first Monday of October. This celebration was instituted by the International Union of Architects (UIA) to highlight the importance of architecture in developing cities and human settlements.

National Architecture Week

Every second week of December, the country raises its glass and offers a toast to the built environment with its annual National Architecture Week (NAW) celebration. The celebration has multiple activities and team-building exercises, and different Architectural organizations around Ilocos Sur join in the celebration. The activities focus on leadership, exposing the students' talents, having unity, and sharing the same, which is Architecture. The program is facilitated by the College’s three organizations. College of Architecture – Atelier Council (CAAC), The United Architects of the Philippines Student Auxiliary (UAPSA), and the Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners Student Auxiliary (PIEPSA).
