
UNP expands Cooperative Awareness and Development Orientation Success at Sinait

The University of Northern Philippines signed an agreement with the Philippine Long Distance Telecommunications, Inc. (PLDT, Inc.) for the subscription to Office Productivity 365 at the UNP Tadena Hall, April 13.
Office Productivity 365 is a suite that includes Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access and Outlook. Microsoft 365, the cloud-based version of Office, combines these best-in-class apps with device management, next-level security, and powerful cloud services.
Valid for one year, the said contract is made possible through the efforts of the Information Technology Infrastructure Management & Development Office (ITIMDO) headed by Dr. Shareen Navarro.
It includes installation/configuration, account and tenant creation, user license assignment, project acceptance, and knowledge transfer.
Mr. Vincent Rodriguez (business head) and Mr. Michael Catan (senior relationship manager) of PLDT, Inc. were present during the said contract signing.
Mr. Rodriguez stressed that such a contract is crucial for UNP’s quest to be a smart campus.
“We look forward to working with your school to go further together,” he added.
Dr. Erwin F. Cadorna, University President, thanked PLDT for being with UNP in its goals for development through information and communication technologies.
“Through our contract signing today, we affirm to empower UNP employees and students through ICT-based knowledge,” Cadorna added.
Cadorna also shared his hopes that the collaboration between UNP and PLDT be sustained.
Present during the event were the three UNP vice presidents, namely: Dr. Rolando B. Navarro, Dr. Fatima F. Rocamora, and Mr. Albert Tejero, the staff of the ITIMDO, and other University officials.
