Women educators join mental health seminar
The Center for Gender and Development (CGAD) conducted a seminar-workshop on Mental Health for Women Educators at Ednin’s Place, Paratong, Sta. Catalina, Ilocos Sur on March 23, 2024.
Ms. Kristina Camille Quitevis, a registered psychologist, psychometrician, and a licensed professional teacher, was the resource speaker.
According to her, a way of empowering women is promoting mental health, which includes emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how they think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how they handle stress, relate to others, and make healthy choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life.
The event, organized by Dr. Mae Oliva M. Piano, the CGAD Extension Coordinator, was attended by the teachers of Bantay West Integrated School.
This activity is aligned with SDG5 to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.
