Santa barangay to receive UNP’s extension services
Barangay Bucalag, Santa, Ilocos Sur will be a recipient of the extension services of the University of Northern Philippines in the coming months. This has been sealed through a signing of a Memorandum of Agreement held at the CTE Function Hall on April 12, 2024.
The pact was made through Dr. Erwin F. Cadorna (UNP President) and Brgy. Capt. Marco D. de Peralta. It was spearheaded by the Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education (BTLEd) and Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTEd) programs of the College of Teacher Education
According to the MOA, UNP is “committed to promoting community development and empowerment through education and skills training initiatives.”
In the same manner, Brgy. Bucalag “recognizes the importance of enhancing the livelihood opportunities and skills of its residents.”
The MOA envisions programs and activities centered on medical and dental services; information drives; skills training, technology transfer, and livelihood projects; coaching and officiating games; training on disaster risk reduction; capability building for teachers; among others.
