CBAA strengthens community engagement with Baluarte Zoo Foundation

The College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) of the University of Northern Philippines continues to extend its commitment to community service by partnering with the Baluarte Zoo Foundation for a two-day seminar on October 3-4, 2024. The extension service, aimed at fostering organizational growth and enhancing workforce development, engaged participants in discussions on performance evaluation and ethical dilemmas within organizations.

On the first day, faculty members Mr. Paul Richard Martin and Mr. Ryan Fogata, both instructors in the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration–Human Resource Development Management (BSBA-HRDM) program, led a seminar on the importance of performance evaluations in driving organizational success. Their insights equipped participants with tools to effectively assess employee performance and improve organizational processes.

The seminar was overseen by CBAA Extension Coordinator Dr. Eileen Rose Paculan and Program Head Dr. Princess Neptalia Quebral. Additional faculty members, including Dr. Glenn Paul Briones, Prof. Gerard Malcaba, Mr. Emman Trevor Quilala, Mr. Romeo Arce, and Mr. Ralphu Buccat, also supported the event.

The second day continued the momentum with an engaging session on the ethical dilemmas in performance evaluation, led by Dr. Richel Royce Chan and Mr. John Wilbert Madriaga. Their presentations highlighted the importance of balancing fairness and transparency when conducting evaluations. The session was moderated by Mr. Jhonnino Serdenia, ensuring smooth discussions and active participation. Faculty members Mr. Marvin Keith Sosa and Mr. Ralph Warren Buccat were also present to lend their expertise.

The two-day event was met with positive feedback, as participants expressed their gratitude for the practical knowledge they gained. CBAA’s ongoing extension services reflect its dedication to sharing expertise and fostering partnerships that benefit both the University and the broader community.

The Baluarte Zoo Foundation, in turn, thanked CBAA for its commitment to improving organizational practices and for providing valuable learning experiences for its staff.
