OBAS hosts Mental Wellness session for UNP students
The Organization of Business Administration Students (OBAS) of the College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) hosted a mental wellness session titled “Mind Matter: The Art of Growing and Healing” on February 14 at the UNP Auditorium. The event aimed to promote mental health awareness, self-love, and personal growth among students, providing them tools to navigate life’s challenges.
The session featured insightful talks from Ms. Alexandra Blake Cay Real-Pisalbo, faculty member of the College of Arts and Sciences, and Ms. Ymari Kristia C. Pascua, Mental Health Coach from the National Youth Commission. The talks addressed topics on stress management, resilience, and self-care. Both speakers emphasized the importance of recognizing mental health as a vital aspect of overall well-being and encouraged students to develop positive coping mechanisms.
“It was a really eye-opening experience. Ms. Pisalbo and Ms. Pascua gave practical advice that I can apply in my daily life, especially on managing stress during exams. I’m grateful for OBAS for organizing this session,” a participant said.
The organizers and speakers closed the session with a reminder that healing and growth are ongoing processes. They encouraged students to apply what they learned, practice self-compassion, and seek support when needed.
