UNP receives CHED EQUATE Awards

The University of Northern Philippines was recognized for its outstanding commitment to quality assurance in teacher education by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). The University was among the distinguished recipients of the Excellence in Quality Assurance in Teacher Education (EQUATE) Awards which given on April 2, 2025, at the Manila Hotel, Ermita, Manila.

This prestigious award highlights UNP’s dedication to maintaining the highest standards in pre-service teacher education programs for both Elementary and Secondary Levels. UNP has consistently ensured compliance with CHED’s minimum standards, achieved academic excellence, and demonstrated exceptional performance in the Board of Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (BLEPT). Truly, the EQUATE Awards serve as a testament to UNP’s role in shaping future educators and contributing to the advancement of teacher education in the Philippines.

CHED Chairperson J. Prospero E. De Vera III commended the University for its consistent pursuit of excellence. He emphasized UNP’s significant contributions to ensuring quality teacher education and producing top-performing graduates.
