Further solidifying its support to leadership and youth development, the University of Northern Philippines hosted the JCI Area 1 Second Council Meeting and the KaiVigan Games UNOLYMPICS 2025 on May 3. The day-long event gathered Junior Chamber International (JCI) leaders and members from across Ilocandia, Pangasinan, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon.
The KaiVigan Games UNOLYMPICS 2025 featured a series of sports activities designed to promote camaraderie, sportsmanship, and leadership among JCI participants.
Meanwhile, the Second Area Council Meeting served as a strategic platform for JCI leaders to discuss regional initiatives, review organizational progress, and collaborate on upcoming projects and programs that align with JCI’s mission.
The University played a key role in supporting the success of the events, with personnel from various service units—including the Office of Student Affairs and Services, Sports Development Program, Information and Communication Technology Office, Production and Auxiliary Services Office, Physical Plant Maintenance Office, and the College of Hotel and Tourism Management—providing logistical and operational assistance throughout the day.
This initiative highlights the university’s commitment to community engagement and nation-building through partnerships with civic organizations such as JCI.
