The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), through its Regional Office I and the Professional Regulatory Board (PRB) of Sanitary Engineering, conducted an ocular inspection and monitoring of the Bachelor of Science in Sanitary Engineering program of the UNP College of Engineering on May 23, 2025, online.
The PRC Board of Sanitary Engineering, headed by its Chairperson, Hon. Robert Licup, emphasized that the inspection and monitoring form part of its regulatory function to ensure compliance with national standards in delivering professional education. The inspection covered various aspects of the program, including institutional profile, organizational structure, curriculum, faculty credentials, facilities, and resources.
UNP College of Engineering’s BS Sanitary Engineering program was found to be compliant with all the requirements set by the PRC Board of Sanitary Engineering. This recognition affirms the program’s strong academic foundation, qualified faculty, and adequate facilities that support the effective training of future sanitary engineers.
Dr. Nelia Verzosa, Dean of the College of Engineering, expressed her gratitude to the PRC Board of Sanitary Engineering for the opportunity to continuously improve and strengthen its sanitary engineering program in line with national standards. She also expressed her appreciation to the University administration, headed by Dr. Erwin Cadorna, the College’s committee for this inspection and monitoring, and the faculty members of the Sanitary Engineering program.
