Employees from the Regional Trial Court (RTC) under the jurisdiction of Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, gathered at the Santa Farmer’s Multipurpose Building on June 11, 2025, for a day-long team-building activity designed to strengthen unity, collaboration, and morale among the personnel.
Organized in partnership with the University of Northern Philippines’ Office of Student Affairs Services (OSAS) through the Student Welfare Services Office (SWSO), the event featured a variety of engaging games and activities. These were set up at multiple stations and expertly facilitated by OSAS staff, ensuring a lively and inclusive atmosphere.
Dr. Marifel Acena, Head of SWSO, took on the role of Game Master, leading the group through energizing icebreaker and a “getting-to-know-you” session that set a friendly tone for the day. Following the activities, Ms. Glenny Angellica Barrientos, a UNP guidance counselor, guided participants through a thoughtful analysis and reflection session. She helped the group connect the day’s experiences to practical applications in their daily work.
Key goals of the activity included strengthening team cohesion, improving communication, enhancing problem-solving and critical thinking skills, promoting leadership and initiative, and boosting morale and motivation. The interactive format, with its variety of games and challenges, allowed participants to collaborate, strategize, and support one another in a relaxed setting.
Executive Judge Elizabeth Bringas expressed appreciation for the continued partnership with the University of Northern Philippines, noting that such initiatives are vital for the well-being and productivity of court employees. The event concluded with a renewed commitment to teamwork and a positive work environment within the RTC Narvacan community.
