The University of Northern Philippines (UNP) strengthened its partnership with the Immaculate Conception Minor Seminary (ICMS) by spearheading a team-building activity titled “Synergy in Mission: Growing Together as One Seminary Community” on September 4, 2025, at the ICMS grounds in Ayusan Sur, Vigan City. The activity, held under the Memorandum of Agreement signed earlier this year, brought together the faculty and staff of ICMS to foster unity and collaboration in their shared mission
The activity featured various games designed to enhance cooperation and camaraderie among the participants. Ms. Pauline Yanssen Martinez, guidance counselor of UNP, served as the game master, while personnel from the different service units of the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) served as facilitators. The participants’ experiences during the activity were reflected upon during the processing led by Ms. Glenny Angellica Barrientos, guidance counselor from UNP.
During the session, Rev. Fr. Erwin Echalas, ICMS Rector, reemphasized the essential role of communication and unity in building a thriving community. He highlighted how the synergy between UNP and ICMS, through their partnership, develops a supportive environment for both the faculty and staff to grow together as they journey in their mission.
This team-building activity strengthened interpersonal bonds and underscored the partnership’s significance in cultivating a united seminary community committed to spiritual and educational excellence. Together, UNP and ICMS continue to empower their community towards shared growth and mission fulfillment.
