UNP recognized by PCW for outstanding GAD Budget Commitment

The University of Northern Philippines proudly celebrates its recognition from the Philippine Commission on Women as the 4th State University and College (SUC) with the Highest Total GAD Budget Expenditure and the 4th SUC with the Highest Client-Focused GAD Budget Expenditure among all SUCs in the Philippines for 2024.

The award was accepted by UNP Center for Gender and Development Officer-in-Charge, Atty. Katrynn Louise Eder, on behalf of the President and GAD Focal Point System Chairperson of UNP, Dr. Erwin Cadorna. The awards ceremony took place today, September 25, 2025, at Crown Plaza Manila Galleria, Pasig City, and was attended by GAD Focal Point Persons and heads of government agencies.

This prestigious recognition highlights UNP’s unwavering dedication to gender mainstreaming and its comprehensive GAD initiatives across research, instruction, extension, advocacy, and infrastructure development. It stands as a testament to the university’s belief that gender and development is a shared commitment requiring sustained effort and collaboration to bring about meaningful and lasting change.
