The University of Northern Philippines’ Department of Physical Education capped its vibrant two-day PATHFit Festival on November 17–18, 2025, transforming the UNP Gymnasium into a dynamic hub of movement, creativity, and camaraderie as students from across the university came together to showcase their skills and celebrate the value of physical wellness.
Anchored on this year’s theme, “Ay-ayam, Sal-sala, ken Salun-at para iti Kumunidad a Nakaradkad,” the festival featured a vibrant array of activities that not only energized the campus but also strengthened student engagement. The well-curated lineup highlighted the university’s commitment to fostering an active, health-centered lifestyle, offering students multiple avenues to participate, collaborate, and celebrate physical well-being.
The UNP community kicked off the celebration with a vibrant opening parade that filled the campus with color and energy early in the morning. This was followed by a series of dynamic student presentations and an upbeat Zumba competition that showcased both creativity and school spirit. In the afternoon, the excitement carried on as the university formally opened its inter-class Sports Fest, signaling the start of friendly competitions and athletic camaraderie among students.
The second day of the festival carried the momentum with the much-anticipated finals of the Sports Fest and the Poster Slogan Contest, drawing enthusiastic participation from students across the university. Contestants impressed judges and spectators alike as they translated advocacy into art, presenting compelling visual messages that promoted health awareness, encouraged active lifestyles, and highlighted the importance of community well-being.
The excitement continued in the afternoon with the highly awaited Search for Mr. and Ms. GymBod Buddy 2025. Representing their respective colleges with confidence and charisma, the candidates competed in a showcase of fitness, personality, and stage presence. By the end of the program, Brady Luz Pagti of the College of Nursing and Maria Lhoeoreign Aglosolos of the College of Business Administration and Accountancy earned the coveted titles, emerging as this year’s GymBod Buddy ambassadors.
The PATHFit Festival 2025 stood as a testament to UNP’s sustained commitment to cultivate a culture of wellness, unity, and meaningful student engagement. Throughout its two-day run, the event brought together learners from various colleges in activities that highlighted the value of physical fitness, creative expression, and collaborative spirit. Beyond the competitions and performances, the festival succeeded in strengthening campus-wide solidarity and further embedding health-oriented initiatives within the university’s educational environment, leaving a lasting impact on the UNP community.
