Following the successful compliance with previous mandatory accreditation requirements, three academic programs of the University of Northern Philippines once again demonstrated excellence after receiving favorable accreditation results from the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines.
The Master of Arts in Teaching majors in English, Filipino, and Physical Education offered in the College of Teacher Education successfully achieved their Level IV-Retained Accreditation status, while the Doctor of Business Administration program of the College of Business Administration and Accountancy earned its Level IV Re-accredited status. Meanwhile, the Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science program of the College of Health Sciences achieved Level III Re-accredited status, reflecting the university’s continuing commitment to quality assurance and academic excellence.
The awards were formally received on May 18, 2026, by the deans and program heads of the respective colleges and academic programs led by UNP President Dr. Erwin Cadorna, together with Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Rolando Navarro, Vice President for Finance and Administration, Mr. Albert Tejero and Dr. Eva Marie Avila, Director of Quality Management Office.
These achievements highlight the University’s unwavering commitment to advance excellence in instruction, research, extension services, faculty development, and student support systems in alignment with national accreditation standards. The favorable accreditation results stand as a testament to the collective dedication, hard work, and shared vision of university officials, administrators, faculty members, staff, students, alumni, and stakeholders whose collaborative efforts and commitment made the successful compliance and accreditation process possible.
The accreditation achievements further reinforce UNP’s standing as a leading higher education institution committed to excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement in delivering quality education responsive to the evolving needs of students, communities, and society.
