The University of Northern Philippines (UNP), in collaboration with Northwestern University and the United Tourism and Hospitality Professionals (UTHP), successfully held AMPAYAG 2025: 3rd International Hospitality and Tourism Research Conference and Skills Convergence on May 22–23, 2025, at the UNP campus in Vigan City. The event brought together students, educators, and industry professionals for a vibrant exchange of research, innovation, and practical skills in hospitality and tourism.
Now in its third year, AMPAYAG continues to serve as a premier platform for academic discourse and industry engagement. Participants from across the country and abroad presented their research, shared best practices, and discussed emerging trends and challenges in the global tourism and hospitality landscape. A key highlight was the skills convergence component, which allowed students and practitioners to apply theoretical knowledge through hands-on demonstrations and industry-based activities.
The two-day event emphasized the importance of bridging academic excellence with real-world competencies. It also showcased the strong partnership among the organizing institutions in promoting international collaboration, innovation, and the development of future-ready professionals.
AMPAYAG 2025 reinforced the region’s commitment to advancing tourism and hospitality education, while empowering students as active contributors to the industry’s future.
