BSA students join search for Outstanding Accounting Students of the Philippines
Together with top accounting students from various institutions nationwide, the University of Northern Philippines Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA) students displayed true excellence as they joined the 26th search for the Outstanding Accounting Students of the Philippines (SOASP) on February 22, at the College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA).
The event was organized by the Association of Certified Public Accountants in Commerce and Industry (ACPACI) in collaboration with the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and P&A Foundation Inc.
Meanwhile, UNP participants were guided by their coaches, Ms. Mary Ann Dela Cruz, BSA Program Chair, Mr. Geofed Ngayaan, and Ms. Kathleen Arconado, who provided mentorship and support throughout the competition.
Following last year’s success with over 303 participants, the 26th edition continued to challenge students in a competitive environment while serving as a premier platform for aspiring accountants to showcase their proficiency in accounting, finance, and business through rigorous assessments.
The university remains committed to developing top-caliber professionals and encouraging its students to engage in prestigious academic challenges like SOASP, further solidifying UNP’s reputation for excellence in accountancy education.
“We proudly commend our BSA students for representing UNP in the 26th SOASP, showcasing excellence in accountancy,” Ms. Dela Cruz said.
