The University of Northern Philippines (UNP) CArch successfully celebrated the First Philippine Architecture Festival – National Architecture Month (PAF-NAM) on December 2, 2024. Spearheaded by the UAPSA-UNP Chapter, themed, “Sinag ng Bahaghari: Fostering Nation-Building, Hope, and Inclusivity Through Architecture,” brought together students and faculty to celebrate the role of architecture in community development.

The day began with a vibrant parade through the campus, followed by the opening of an exhibit in front of the UNP Registrar’s Office, featuring the works of UNP CArch students from first to fourth year. The exhibit included academic projects, scale models, and heritage conservation designs focused on Vigan’s ancestral houses, along with entries from the Parol Making Contest.

In addition, a theses consultation session for 5th-year students was held in collaboration with the UAP-Ilocos Ciudad Fernandina and UAP-Ylocos Vigan Chapters. This initiative provided valuable guidance from experienced architects to help students refine their theses projects.
