CAS hosts first-ever recognition program for graduating students

The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) held its first-ever Recognition Program for graduating students on May 28, 2025, at the UNP Auditorium, honoring outstanding academic and leadership achievements across its various departments.

The event recognized the excellence and dedication of the Class of 2025, with awards given to students who excelled in academics, research, leadership, and community engagement. Dean Dr. Remedios Navarro led the program, highlighting the college’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals ready to contribute to society.

Among the top honorees were students who received Latin honors, best thesis awards, and leadership distinctions. Department chairs also presented special awards to students who had shown exemplary performance in their respective programs.

In his message, UNP President Dr. Erwin Cadorna congratulated the graduating students and commended CAS for its milestone event. “This recognition program marks a new tradition in celebrating academic excellence and the holistic development of our students,” he said.

Parents, faculty, and university officials attended the event, expressing pride and support for the achievements of the graduates. Cultural intermission numbers from CAS students added color and energy to the celebration. It concluded with a call for graduates to carry forward the values instilled in them by their alma mater.
