CBAA students land 1st place at 2nd National CED Pitching Competition

Innovation and entrepreneurship took center stage at the 2nd Commercialization and Enterprise Development (CED) Pitching Competition, held at the BA Hall of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PCCI) in McKinley Hill, Taguig City. The event brought together bright student innovators from across the country to present promising business ideas with strong potential for commercialization.

Representing the University of Northern Philippines (UNP), students Frenzy Dale  Pagdato and Marc Justine Soriano of the College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) made a remarkable impact with their business proposal, Lif’sh Cosmetics. Guided by their coach, Mr. Aristotle Piamonte, the team showcased a compelling pitch centered on sustainable and affordable cosmetic products tailored for the local market.

Lif’sh Cosmetics stood out for its innovative concept, clear market positioning, financial viability, and potential for social impact. The team earned top honors in the competition, clinching the Champion title and receiving P50,000 in seed funding to support the development and launch of their enterprise and P15,000 as a transportation subsidy.

The success of the UNP delegation accentuates the university’s strong commitment to promoting innovation, enterprise development, and practical business education. As the entrepreneurial landscape continues to evolve, the triumph of Lif’sh Cosmetics stands as a manifestation of the talent and drive of UNP students for innovation.
