Public ad student org, former student-leader recognized by UNESCO

 

Mr. Marc Adrian L. Tabisula, a faculty member and alumnus of the UNP College of Public Administration, was recognized as an Outstanding Club for UNESCO Youth Leader 2024. In the same manner, the Public Administration Students’ Society was named Outstanding Club for UNESCO 2024 during the International Assembly of Youth for UNESCO (Y4U). This was held in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan on November 29 to December 1, 2024.

Mr. Tabisula has been selected and recognized as one of the awardees along with the other 15 outstanding youth leaders around the country.

Each year, the National Coordinating Body of Clubs for UNESCO in the Philippines (NCBUCP Inc.) acknowledges, recognizes, and campaigns for the achievements and advocacies of varied student leaders whose endeavors are aligned with the ideals and thrusts of UNESCO and the realization of the 17 sustainable development goals.

Mr. Tabisula was a former fourth year representative of the Public Administration Students’ Society and former editor-in-chief of the CPAd Perspective Publication of the College of Public Administration. He is engaged in and initiated various student-led programs, projects, and activities like the Karbengan ken Kalintegan dagiti Babbai Program, Saluad Aglawlaw Program, and SalbarKultura Program. 

Mr. Tabisula expressed his sincerest gratitude to the UNP for its unwavering support to the different initiatives of the student leaders and organizations in the realization of the developmental goals of our university and the sustainable development goals.

He shared, “As leaders, our role is to empower the youth to not only dream big but to take initiatives and bold action toward a sustainable future. By advocating for the Sustainable Development Goals, we inspire the next generation to lead with purpose, compassion, and responsibility for the people and the planet.”
