Crim master’s program hosts fire prevention training

The College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) faculty, along with the students of Master of Science in Criminal Justice (MSCJ), conducted an extension activity and a seminar-workshop on Fire Safety at Home and Fire Suppression held at Brgy. Puro, Caoayan, Ilocos Sur on March 16.

The event, organized by the MSCJ faculty and students from the DILG tri-bureau and the academe, was also attended by CCJE faculty members.

In line with the government’s Fire Prevention Month, this workshop will help the locals gain the necessary knowledge in case of fire disasters, especially since the said barangay is a place where further assistance in case of calamities due to its geographic location cannot be easily reached.

With the objective of this study, it can provide the locals with necessary information that can help reduce casualties and prevent accidents. Through the guidance of the CCJE and MSCJ faculty and staff, with their knowledge and background in their field of expertise, it will help provide prevention and education in times of uncertainty.
