Students of the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management of the University of Northern Philippines had a taste of real-world hotel operations through the innovative The “Hotel on Wheels” program by Astoria Culinary and Hospitality Institute (ACHI). The “Hotel on Wheels” held on April 28 to May 2, 2025 at the UNP Guestel Function Hall is part of the Applied Business Tools and Technologies course for second-year students.
The program transformed the learning space into a mobile hotel setup, complete with industry-grade hospitality tools and digital systems. Students engaged directly with property management systems, point-of-sale software, and smart technologies that mirror modern hotel environments.
More than technical know-how, the experience builds essential soft skills like teamwork, adaptability, and innovation. With ASTORIA ACHI’s support, “Hotel on Wheels” bridged the gap between theory and practice, shaping globally competitive hospitality professionals ready to meet the demands of a tech-driven industry.
