HRSAP- UNP holds first HRSAP Conference and Expo
The Human Resource Students’ Association of the Philippines (HRSAP) – University of Northern Philippines (UNP) Chapter hosted its first HRSAP Conference and Expo on February 10-11, 2025. Celebrating under the theme, “Visionary HR Leaders: Engaged for Dynamic and Progressive Organizational Excellence,” the event drew students, faculty, and HR professionals for two days of learning and engagement.
The conference began with a Thanksgiving Mass at the UNP Chapel, followed by the official opening ceremony at the UNP Auditorium. The highlight of the opening was the unveiling of the HRSAP emblem, the “HRSAP CAIRES” program, and official merchandise. A lively yell competition between the four teams—Team Courage, Team Patience, Team Intelligence, and Team Resilience—set a spirited tone for the rest of the event.
The first day featured two seminars, each paired with interactive workshops that provided participants with practical insights into essential HR topics. Two additional seminars and workshops were conducted at the UNP Auditorium, promoting discussions on best practices in HR management. At the UNP Hostel Function Room, participants competed in the HR Simulation, which included HR Career Mentorship and Role-Playing Scenario and Revolutionizing HR: A Project Proposal Program for HR and Organizational Health.
Meanwhile, the CBAA Library hosted the HR Academic Contest, featuring an HR Quiz Show, Speech Competition, and Debate Competition, showcasing students’ academic prowess.
The afternoon session featured HR Talk & Mentorship, where three guest speakers explored emerging HR trends and engaged students in meaningful discussions about future industry developments.
“I am honored to witness the success of the 1st HRSAP Conference & Expo, a testament to the dedication of everyone involved. This event offers a vital platform for students—the future HR leaders—to enhance their skills and expand their knowledge for dynamic, evolving organizations. It’s also a privilege to have industry experts share invaluable insights, enriching this transformative experience,” Mr. Marvin Keith Sosa, the HRSAP adviser, said gratefully.
The conference concluded with an awarding ceremony recognizing outstanding performances across various events. A heartfelt closing ceremony marked the culmination of a successful first HRSAP Conference and Expo, leaving attendees inspired and better equipped for their future roles as HR leaders.
