JBA, office management students join forces with BPI for a seminar

The Junior Bankers’ Association, together with the Philippine Association of Students in Office Administration–UNP Chapter, collaborated with the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) Vigan Branch for a seminar entitled, “The NAC Protocol: Mastering Record Keeping and Knowing Your Customers.”

It was conducted at the University of Northern Philippines–Auditorium and was attended by second year Associate in Office Management and third year BS Business Administration, major Financial Management students to empower them with essential skills in financial documentation and customer management.

The seminar introduced participants to the NAC Protocol, focusing on the importance of thorough record-keeping and understanding customer needs. Through detailed presentations, students learned the best practices in tracking income, expenses, and transactions.

Mr. Marius Angelo Filart emphasized that accurate record-keeping forms the foundation for business transparency and legal compliance, preparing attendees to meet high industry standards in fields such as accounting, business, and law.

The session also explored customer relations through a Know Your Customer (KYC) segment, where students discovered methods to build stronger customer profiles by analyzing demographics and purchasing behaviors.

This dual focus on documentation and customer knowledge underscored the interconnectedness of these skills in sustaining successful businesses.

Many students left the seminar feeling empowered and more prepared to handle the practical aspects of managing finances and customer relations, recognizing these skills as critical assets for their personal and professional development. The event equipped them with practical knowledge and inspired confidence in their ability to apply these principles in diverse career paths.
