Proving her expertise on research, Dr. Marifel Acena, program head of the University of Northern Philippines Master of Arts in Guidance Counselling (MAGC) Program, and head of the Student Welfare Services Office (SWSO) reap awards during the 3rd International Conference on Higher Education Research by the Philippine Association of Institutions for Research, Inc. (PAIR) and Association of Scholarly Editors (ASE) with the theme, “Bridging Global Research for Education Excellence” on April 7 to 9, via Zoom teleconferencing.
With her research titled “Lived Experiences of Working Students in the University of Northern Philippines in Vigan City during the COVID-19 Pandemic”, Dr. Acena was awarded as the Best Oral Research Presenter, secured the Best Abstract Award in the category of Social Science, and the Research Article Citation Award.
This success further solidifies the university’s commitment on strengthening research and internationalization.
