MDSO, CCJE host seminar on Oral Health
The Medical Dental Services Office in collaboration with the College of Criminal Justice Education hosted an event titled, “Oral Health Matters: A Pathway to Professional Confidence” on November 27, 2024 at the UNP Auditorium. This initiative aimed to assist criminology students who have encountered challenges in their job applications due to medical issues, particularly those related to dental health.
The event featured a series of informative lectures emphasizing the significance of dental care. Dr. Sharinelle Alberta Sy Ridulme discussed the topic on illegal practice of dentistry, shedding light on the risks associated with unlicensed dental practices. Atty. Joseph Apolonio delivered an inspirational talk focusing on the importance of maintaining good dental health and overall fitness, encouraging students to prioritize their well-being. Additionally, Ms. Mia Gracia Petate provided insights on proper oral hygiene, reinforcing the message that good dental practices are crucial for personal and professional success.
The event sought not only to educate students but also to inspire them to adopt better oral hygiene habits, ultimately fostering their confidence as they prepare for their careers in criminology. This collaborative effort underscores the vital connection between health and professional readiness in today’s competitive job market.
