The Medical Services Office, in collaboration with the Laboratory Schools Organization, and with the special participation of the CAS SASO, recently launched the Kabataan Iwas Disease sa ‘Skwela Program on March 28, 2025. As part of this initiative, anti-mosquito plants were distributed to all grade school students.
This program aims to promote both health and environmental awareness among children. By learning to take care of plants, students are encouraged to understand the importance of environmental protection.
The anti-mosquito plants in particular serve as a tool to raise awareness about preventing diseases and the essential role plants play in keeping their surroundings safe and healthy. This early introduction to plant care helps foster responsibility, environmental consciousness, and a better understanding of how plants contribute to their well-being.
