Medical Technology Week 2025 unites BSMLS community in celebration and competition
The Medical Technology Week 2025 held on February 27 and March 1 brought faculty, students, and staff of the College of Health Sciences – Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science (BSMLS) program together for a series of events that combined academic excellence with camaraderie.
The celebration began with a mass at the UNP Chapel, setting a reflective and meaningful start to the festivities. In the afternoon, the MedTech Gala at the College of Technology Function Hall honored outstanding contributions within the BSMLS program, providing a night of recognition and appreciation.
On March 1, the excitement continued with a retro-themed parade featuring vibrant banners and creatively decorated e-bikes. A ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Mr. Ace Danielle Avero, Program Head, and Ms. Crishamay Avery Caoagas, President, PHISMETS-UNP, marked the start of competitions. Other activities held were Parada Reyna, Cheer and Banner contests, and a variety of MedTech games such as the Moving Exam, Poster Making, Scavenger Hunt, and Spelling Bee.
The event concluded with an awards ceremony, where BSMLS 3A was named Best Section, and House Delost earned the title of House Champion. The Medical Technology Week 2025 not only showcased the talents of students but also strengthened connections within the BSMLS community, making it a memorable and meaningful experience for all involved.
