OSAS extends training on entrepreneurship, mental health

The Office of the Student Affairs and Services successfully conducted an extension activity on November 26, 2024 at Nueva Segovia Consortium of Cooperatives Bath and Coffee titled “Beefing up the Entrepreneurial Energy Cum Mental Health Consultation.”

This program was attended by the NSCC Cooperative members. Mr. Marvin Keith R. Sosa (head of the EEDS and Alumni Services) and Dr. Marites Duquinal (head of the Career and Job Placement Service) served as the learning resource providers. Their expertise provided a strong foundation and support in boosting the entrepreneurial spirit of NSCC members.

Aside from the entrepreneurial focus, a mental health consultation was also offered to the participants which was facilitated by the team of Dr. Marifel Q. Acena, Ms. Kristina Camille V. Pacris-Quitevis, Ms. Precious Lyn C. Babida, Ms. Sarah M. Alcayaga, and Ms. Eden A. Ulep. Their presence ensured comprehensive support for the attendees.

“This collaborative effort between OSAS, CAS-MAGC and NSCC demonstrated a commitment to holistic development and addressing personal well-being. The activity’s success underscores the value of integrating mental health support into entrepreneurial training programs,” Dr. Acena said.
