Perlas ti Amianan Org celebrates Environmental Awareness Month with tree-planting
The Perlas ti Amianan Organization proudly marked Environmental Awareness Month with a highly successful tree-planting event at the University of the Philippines (UNP) Oval with their special guest, Prof. Crizzle Paz, on December 3, 2024. The organization planted 50 Areca catechu trees, demonstrating its commitment to environmental conservation and sustainability.
This initiative aligns perfectly with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 13 (Climate Action) through mitigating climate change through sustainable practices, as well as SDG 15 (Life on Land), preserving biodiversity and promoting eco-friendly land use.
The event brought together the executive officers of PTAO, fostering a sense of environmental responsibility and community pride. This collective effort highlights the organization’s dedication in promoting reforestation and afforestation efforts, supporting climate resilience and carbon sequestration, and encouraging sustainable practices and eco-friendly lifestyles.
“Perlas Ti Amianan Organization’s tree-planting initiative serves as a beacon of hope for a sustainable tomorrow. Let’s continue nurturing our planet! Share eco-friendly tips, participate in local environmental initiatives and support organizations promoting sustainability,” remarked Tanya Mendoza, president.
